Sharita J. is a Connecticut-based educator, mentor, mother, and youth advocate dedicated to helping girls grow into confident, compassionate, and capable leaders. As the founder of Girls With Purpose, she believes every girl deserves access to positive mentorship, meaningful opportunities, and a supportive community where she can discover her strengths, build self-confidence, and reach her full potential.

Sharita earned her Bachelor of Science in Human Services and Counseling from Post University and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. With more than 10 years of experience working with children and youth and over five years in education, she has partnered with families, schools, and community organizations to support the academic, social, and emotional development of young people.

Inspired by a lifelong commitment to service and leadership, Sharita founded Girls With Purpose to equip girls with the confidence, life skills, and leadership experiences needed to thrive in today's world. Through mentorship, community engagement, and character development, she is committed to creating lasting opportunities that empower girls to become resilient leaders and positive contributors in their schools, families, and communities.
